Vacuum therapy done simultaneously with Ultrasound opens compacted adipose tissue and begins the
process of restoring inner tissue health to an area that has been compromised by lack of circulation and
an accumulation of toxins while Ultrasound energy is used to open swollen adipose cells. This double
edged approach is both beneficial and effective.

Significant results are seen in circumference reductions of up to 2 cm per treatment from the very first
session. Treatments can be weekly as a series, depending on patient needs. Most conditions are
satisfactorily resolved in 8 – 12 treatments.

A 2010 European Dermatological Study showed notable reduction in fat thickness within the treatment
site after one treatment of 1.25 inches of circumference. This was confirmed by ultrasound
measurements. Weight of the subjects was unchanged indicating the reduction in circumference
measurement and fat thickness was not due to weight loss. Follow up studies over 30 days showed no
significant change in cholesterol, triglyceride or liver marker levels, all of which stayed within normal
ranges. After destruction of adipose tissue, fat in the form of triglycerides is released into the interstitial
fluid, where it is then metabolized. Side effects were limited to slight erythema lasting up to 1 hour.

Automatic preset treatment parameters can be manually adjusted through a touch screen interface.
Settings are chosen according to thickness of fat tissue, setting a vacuum level high enough to suck skin
into the applicator. This vacuum creates a skin fold that presses and holds tissue tightly against the
applicator. Ultrasound safely occurs within the skin fold, targeting only subcutaneous adipose tissue
leaving vascular, nervous and muscular tissue unaltered. Controlled and constant pressure to the skin
fold generates results independent of the therapist’s treatment technique.

Ultrasound energy is delivered through 5 modes that match ultrasound frequencies to different body fat
thickness. Preset treatment programs via interactive touch screen technology make the operation simple
and easy. Ultrasound presets include a Sweep Mode that automatically sets ultrasound frequencies for
treatment areas with mixed fat, muscle and bone. There is data storage for 8,000 patients.
