products: specialty products: private label
Some skin care professionals want the products they are using to have their name on them. Others recognize the importance of going with a professional label. Private label, meaning products with the skin care professional's label, is popular within the skin care industry right now. We have many accounts that purchase our products in bulk and repackage in their own containers with their labels. Listed below are our stock containers. We keep our container options simple. As a results-oriented clinical line, we feel it is important to educate clients that it is not the container that gives them better-looking skin; it is the product in the container. Opaque containers (containers that you cannot see through) better protect your product. We have a huge advantage over retail stores in that clients come to us and ask our professional advice in guiding them to the products that are best for them to use. Professional products don’t have to use expensive packaging to convey to the consumer that the product inside it is worth the cost or to attract a customer to notice it (like the retail stores). Fancy containers increase the price of the product but provide no extra benefit for the skin. Once opened, clients should be using the product on a daily basis and will probably throw the container away in a couple of months. That is why the majority of clinical and professional brands do not waste money on expensive packaging. Professional products are sold by education and performance not by fancy containers. It is important to ask yourself if expensive packaging is going to help you sell more products, and if so, why? That is a very important question. You also need to ask yourself if you are going to be able to cover the extra cost of the container by charging more for the same product, and how much more are you going to charge. How much are the expensive containers going to affect your bottom line and is it really worth it? If expensive containers are a “must” for you, you can buy them elsewhere and purchase our product in bulk to fill the containers. As for us, we choose to stay with clinical, professional packaging. Private Label Package Dressing Options Once you have decided on your containers, it’s time to decide how to dress them. Silk screening and labels can totally change the way a package looks. It is best to keep it simple but you must have your logo, the oz/ml and your city and state. It is also a requirement to disclose the ingredients to the consumer but this can be on an accompanying brochure. It is a smart idea to also include your phone number on your container packaging as well. Your number needs to be readily available so consumers can call you and order more products. Basically, you have two choices: silk screening or labels. We have found that the least expensive way to go, whether you decide to label or silkscreen, is to only include your logo, the oz/ml and your city and state as the basic label or screen. Next, you purchase product identification labels so that the same package can work for many different products. Labeling is going to be less expensive than silk screening. If you silk screen, you have to pay for a screen for each container plus you have to pay a screen set up charge for each container. In addition, you must purchase the entire case of containers upfront and the entire case must be silk-screened. If you decide to go with labeling, you simply apply the labels to the containers as needed. You can purchase the containers from us in small quantities (as little as 6 each). For product identification labels, we do carry many choices for you in cobalt blue and in black ink. We have attached copies for your perusal. We sell the labels at $9 for 60 of the same label in cobalt foil. For 60 of the same label in the black oval style, it is $12. We can also make new product identification labels for you. These would be at $75 per thousand in a 2” x ½” rectangle and you must order 1,000 of each label. |
